Mississippi State History Inaugurates Program to Speed Time to PhD
Beginning this summer, Mississippi State History will offer a program for our very best graduate students to speed the time to the PhD and to make our students even more marketable.
This in residence program is available to new graduate students at the end of their first year at Mississippi State and will run through the months of June and July. It is expected to shave a semester off the time to reach the PhD by have students enroll in a paper producing seminar that will easily translate into a publishable article and in a content-oriented readings course to prepare students for their PhD exams.
Tuition will be paid by the department. A graduate assistant stipend of $1000/month for three months will accompany these awards.
